This is actually an old film. Made in 1998 (all in Danish, sorry) it tells a horrifying story about how we produce meat, eggs , chicken, in our civilized society. A grim look behind the facade of the idyllic countryside. We got access to places where no camera crews had been allowed before. The film was delayed from being showed in public schools (it's sole purpose) because the farmers association claimed the footage were shot outside Denmark. They did not believe their own members would treat animals like we see in this documentary. They forgot that they themselves had found a couple of the places we could visit! The cameraman, Jørn Stjerneklar, was nominated as cameraman of the year for this 1998 production, but came only second. He used a lot of steadycam in this shoot, which works brilliantly. The film was made for "Dyrenes Beskyttelse" an animal rights group in Denmark. The oldest and most conservative, by the way. Enjoy - even if you don't speak the language.

PS Best viewed in SD since the film has been modified from 4:3 to 16:9
