The weeks

twentytwelve

Summer has arrived in South Africa. Officially it's only springtime for the moment, but with temperatures above 27 degrees Celsius, like yesterday, it feels quite ok. It's been a long winter this year. To much rain and wind so we are relieved.

The picture is from Kalk Bay on the other side of the peninsula. Nice little town with a lot of good restaurants and bars. Quite a few hippies around, too. And the ocean is not as cold as on our side so you can actually swim in it. The harbor is nice with seals enjoying themselves and you can catch your next meal from the pier. Fresh fish can be purchased from the boats when they arrive. Sunshine, the sound of waves pounding the boulders, sea gulls screaming in the air.

Not a bad place at all.

Have a warm week.
